Privacy Policy

This page explains how we collect, process, store, and delete uploaded images and related data.

1. Scope and definitions

This Privacy Policy applies to your access to and use of the Photo Repair website, apps, and related features. Unless otherwise stated, it covers how we collect, use, store, share, and delete data when providing the service.

“Uploaded Content” refers to images, text, or files you submit; “Outputs” are the restored or enhanced results generated by the system; “Personal Data” means information that identifies you directly or in combination with other data.

2. Data we process

To deliver the service and keep it secure, we may process the following categories of data:

  • Uploaded images or files and basic metadata (such as format, resolution, and size).
  • Outputs and intermediate files needed to complete processing and return results.
  • Access logs and device information (such as access time, IP address, browser type, operating system, and language settings).
  • Information you provide when contacting us (such as email, issue description, and attachments).
  • If you create an account or purchase services, we may process necessary account identifiers and transaction details (payment data is handled by payment providers).
  • Preference settings and consent records (such as language, consent status, and notification preferences).

We do not require identification documents or sensitive personal data. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in uploads or communications.

3. Data sources

  • Data you provide directly, such as uploads and contact details.
  • Data generated automatically when you use the service, such as logs and device information.
  • Data from authorized third-party services (such as third-party login or payment providers).

4. Purposes of use

  • Deliver photo restoration and enhancement features and return outputs.
  • Maintain service stability, security, and anti-fraud controls, including troubleshooting.
  • Improve product experience and performance (for example, usage statistics and error analysis).
  • Handle accounts, orders, and billing (if applicable).
  • Respond to your inquiries, complaints, or rights requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations or regulatory requirements.

5. Legal bases

Where required by law, we process data under one or more legal bases: performance of a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests (such as security and improvement), or compliance with legal obligations.

6. Processing methods

Uploaded Content is processed through automated workflows to complete restoration and enhancement. We perform manual review only when necessary, such as to handle complaints, investigate security incidents, or comply with legal obligations.

7. Retention and deletion

Uploaded Content and Outputs are automatically deleted within 24 hours by default. You may request earlier deletion via support.

Access logs and security records may be retained longer for security protection, dispute handling, or compliance. Retention is limited to what is reasonably necessary.

To maintain continuity, limited backup retention may apply. Content in backups is removed as backups rotate.

8. Model training

By default, uploaded user content is not used to train foundation models. If this changes, we will provide clear notice and obtain any required consent beforehand.

9. Cookies and analytics

We may use essential cookies or similar technologies for session and security purposes and analytics tools to understand usage and improve experience.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.

10. Sharing and disclosure

We share data only when necessary, such as with infrastructure, storage, CDN, security, or customer-support providers. These providers may process data only under our instructions and confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose necessary information to comply with law, valid government requests, or to protect legitimate rights. In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, we will provide notice and require the recipient to honor this policy.

11. Cross-border transfers

To provide the service, data may be processed on servers in different countries or regions. We take reasonable measures to ensure cross-border transfers comply with applicable rules and provide comparable protection.

12. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, such as encrypted transmission, access controls, least-privilege practices, and security monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.

13. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent.

We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

You can control what you upload and avoid providing unnecessary personal data.

14. Children

If you are a minor, please use the service with guardian consent and guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If a guardian believes a minor has used the service without authorization or submitted personal data, they may contact us to request deletion.

15. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves and will publish the latest version on this page. The updated policy takes effect upon publication.

If updates materially affect you, we will provide advance notice where reasonable via in-product prompts, announcements, or email.
